Official NFL News: Just In Pittsburgh Steelers Leading Three NFL Team In The Race To Sign Top Experienced Fans Favorite NFL QB

Steelers Among Teams Interested in Trading for

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly one of several teams exploring a trade for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. Along with Pittsburgh, the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, and Las Vegas Raiders have also inquired about Stafford’s availability.

“The teams you’d expect to be involved have indeed entered the conversation,” Breer wrote, confirming that multiple franchises are monitoring Stafford’s situation.

Last week, Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reported that Stafford could command a first-round pick in a potential trade and is seeking a $50 million contract with whichever team acquires him. This salary figure aligns with what Aaron Rodgers received when he left Green Bay, making Stafford’s financial demands a key factor in any deal.

For the Steelers, acquiring Stafford could be a high-risk, high-reward move to capitalize on their Super Bowl window. However, concerns exist regarding his age, durability, and contract structure, as well as the impact on Pittsburgh’s developing offensive line, which may struggle to protect a veteran quarterback with an injury history.

If Pittsburgh chooses to pursue Stafford, they will likely need to restructure his contract to make the deal more feasible while weighing the risks of his potential decline.
