Indiana Fever Add Forward in Free Agency
The Indiana Fever have strengthened their roster by signing forward Brianna Turner, a standout defender who has twice earned WNBA All-Defensive First Team honors and won an NCAA National Championship at Notre Dame.
“Brianna has built a reputation as one of the league’s top defenders,” said Fever COO and General Manager Amber Cox. “She enhances our frontcourt depth with her elite shot-blocking and rebounding abilities. Her basketball IQ is exceptional, and she brings valuable experience both on and off the court.”
Expressing her excitement about joining the Fever, Turner stated, “I’m thrilled to be part of this organization and compete for a championship. The team’s dedication to investing in women’s basketball and creating a professional environment for success really stood out to me. The coaching staff and front office have built a dynamic roster, and I’m eager to contribute, learn, and grow throughout the season. I can’t wait to get to Indianapolis and get started!”
Turner, now entering her seventh WNBA season, has posted career averages of 4.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game, solidifying her role as a defensive force in the league.
