Bills’ Tommy Doyle Announces Retirement from the NFL

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Tommy Doyle has decided to retire from the NFL, announcing his decision on Friday.

Doyle’s career was impacted by injuries, most notably a torn ACL suffered during the 2023 preseason. As a result, he was unable to play during the past two regular seasons. His time on the field was limited due to setbacks, ultimately leading him to step away from professional football.

A fifth-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, Doyle was drafted by the Bills out of Miami (OH). Over his three seasons with Buffalo, he appeared in 12 games, contributing both on offense and special teams. He played 102 offensive snaps and saw additional action with 48 snaps on special teams.

While he primarily served as a backup, Doyle provided valuable depth to Buffalo’s offensive line when healthy.

His retirement marks an early conclusion to his NFL career, but Doyle’s time in the league showcased his perseverance and work ethic. Moving forward, he will likely explore new opportunities outside of football as he transitions into life after the NFL.
