After being cut by the Green Bay Packers earlier this year, former All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari is still a free agent. Bakhtiari was once thought to be a player who may be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but his incredible career was cut short by knee problems that kept him from playing more than 13 games in his final three seasons.
Fans may remember Bakhtiari’s initial injury sustained during a non-contact drill during practice on New Year’s Eve 2020. Naturally, his injured ACL prevented him from playing in the Packers’ journey to the NFC Championship Game, when they were defeated by Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who won the Super Bowl that year.

Bakhtiari did not participate in the Packers’ divisional round defeat to the San Francisco 49ers, although he did return for the last game of the 2021 regular season. He returned in 2023 and destroyed the Chicago Bears in Week One after playing just 11 games in 2022. Unfortunately, his season and tenure in Green Bay came to an end when he re-injured his knee, requiring three operations to heal it.
David Bakhtiari, the former left tackle for the Green Bay Packers, uses social media to criticize Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

As previously stated, even though Bakhtiari claims that his doctors have given him the all-clear to resume playing football, he is still a free agent. He hasn’t been selected by any NFL clubs this season despite their offensive linemen playing poorly.
However, the Colorado Buffaloes alumnus seems to have a single team in mind, as he revealed on social media this past weekend:
Under the direction of head coach Deion Sanders, Bakhtiari’s alma mater has made a comeback in the collegiate football scene. They play Texas Tech, the alma school of quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, the following weekend.
Even while this piece is just humorous, it’s important to remember that the Chiefs have previously been connected to Bakhtiari, particularly in light of their inconsistent left tackle performance.
Even though they are the only NFL team still unbeaten, Kansas City is by no means a flawless squad. Weeks before the NFL Playoffs, it would not be such a terrible idea to add a veteran like Bakhtiari.
