Brian Gutekunst, general manager of the Green Bay Packers, provided a significant update about running back MarShawn Lloyd’s condition. Since missing the Colts game due to an ankle injury, the rookie third-round selection has not played for head coach Matt LaFleur’s squad. At the moment, he is listed as injured. The return of the former USC Trojan will be very beneficial, even if Lloyd hasn’t played since Week 2. especially for the offense and quarterback Jordan Love as the Packers compete for spots in the crowded NFC North.
Brian Gutekunst told Packers beat reporter Matt Schneiderman that the team intends to remove Lloyd on the injured list “pretty soon here, hopefully” in response to a question regarding his health. This is really good news for the Packers, who are currently struggling with a few problems.
In the upcoming weeks, the Packers offense will need to improve.

Green Bay’s running back room will get much-needed depth with the addition of MarShawn Lloyd. Josh Jacobs, who is third in the league in running yards, has had a tremendous season for the Packers. However, the starting tailback for the Packers has recently been dealing with some injury issues. Only one other rushing back for Green Bay has accumulated more than 100 yards this season.
Despite ranking ninth in scoring, the offense will need to be more potent moving ahead because top cornerback Jaire Alexander just suffered a knee injury. Detroit’s offense dominated the game, but the Packers only allowed 24 points in a ten-point loss to the Lions. Jared Goff, the quarterback for the Lions, completed 18 of 22 throws for a QBR of 89.0, which was 30 points higher than his season average. Alexander’s secondary presence was much missed by Green Bay’s defense, and it’s uncertain when the two-time All-Pro will make a comeback.
