Alabama football verified what Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer had already said when it published its first availability report of Missouri week on Wednesday. After sustaining what DeBoer described as a “lower-extremity injury” during UA’s defeat to Tennessee last week, veteran safety Keon Sabb will not play on Saturday.
At his weekly news conference on Monday, DeBoer stated, “We’re still gathering information here.” However, we do anticipate that he will be out for some time. Therefore, that may take a long time, and we’ll simply keep assessing that.
According to DeBoer, the remaining defensive backs for the Crimson Tide should be able to play on Saturday. Red Morgan, who was marked as probable in the report on Wednesday, would most likely be included in that.
Linebacker Cayden Jones, who will miss the second consecutive week, was the only other player listed. Compared to Alabama, Missouri’s study was even more alarming.
Due to an ankle injury he acquired during last week’s game against Auburn, Tiger quarterback Brady Cook is rated as questionable. Before Cook returned to lead a comeback victory in Columbia, the injury necessitated an MRI at a nearby hospital.
Nate Noel, the top rusher for Missouri, is likewise rated as uncertain. The report included a list of 12 more Tigers.
Bryant-Denny Stadium will host the Alabama vs. Missouri game on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. CT. ABC will broadcast the game.
