Amidst the chaos of the last couple of minutes of Alabama’s 41-34 win over Georgia on Saturday, there was a pivotal moment, according to Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer, that set the tone for his Crimson Tide’s epic win at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
And it wasn’t the 75-yard reception by Ryan Williams.

With 2:31 remaining in the game, Dillon Bell had just scored a touchdown throw from Carson Beck for 67 yards to give Georgia a 34-33 lead.
“I thought the 2-point conversion was really important,” DeBoer stated in a guest appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show.” “Our men line up again and get the stop there, even in the middle of giving up a touchdown. That simply means that a field goal has the potential to win.
I felt like there was a lot of time left on the clock at that point. Time is not important. It all comes down to organizing some plays, making some connections, and letting our players perform and go about their business.
