The Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark recently had their farewell interviews for the 2024 WNBA season. Following multiple player interviews, reporters had the opportunity to meet with Christie Sides, the head coach.
Speaking specifically about Clark, Sides expressed her admiration for the youngster. She clarified that as Indiana’s established starting point guard, Clark will be captaining the Fever for many years to come.
The Fever coach expressed her admiration for Clark’s 22-year-old professionalism and consistency throughout the process. “She has endured a lot this season and has handled it in the most professional way,” Sides stated. “She leads our squad and is our point guard, but she never puts her head in her hands. She remains steadfast and unwavering. Much respect to her.”
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game in her first campaign. In her first season as a pro, she established herself as one of the top players in the WNBA by leading the rookie class in average points and assists.
