Sam Webb, a cornerback, will be promoted off the practice squad by the Las Vegas Raiders in advance of their Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
In 2023, Webb will play for the Raiders for a second time, having previously spent time with the Carolina Panthers.
Webb had 17 appearances for the Raiders in 2022, making three starts. In 36 tackles, he also intercepted three passes.
Due to injuries to DeCamerion Richards and Brandon Facyson, Webb will replace players like Darnay Holmes, Jack Jones, and Nate Hobbs.
Webb will provide the Raiders’ thin secondary some reliable depth.
