Not too long after bringing in five-star cornerback DJ Pickett, LSU this week welcomed another top talent to their class of 2025 recruits.
Derek Meadows, a four-star wide receiver from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, made his commitment to the Tigers official on Saturday. Meadows chose LSU over Notre Dame, the former home of Brian Kelly, and SEC rival Alabama.
According to Meadows, “LSU was the place to do it. To be the best, you must outwork the rest.”
Meadows is rated as a mid/high four-star or a five-star, depending on the recruitment agency you use. He is ranked No. 32 overall and as a five-star by 247, while he is ranked No. 41 in On3’s composite rankings. According to the On3 aggregate rankings, Meadows is the sixth-best receiver in his class.
