Oskar Steen will join Färjestad of the Swedish Hockey League following five seasons with the Boston Bruins, the team announced on Saturday.
The forward’s journey to the NHL was facilitated by Färjestad, where he began his career. Before joining the Providence Bruins, Steen played three seasons with the Boston Bruins from 2016–19.
Though Steen would have preferred to remain with the Bruins longer, he decided to return home.

Steen scored 119 points in 230 regular-season and postseason games over his five seasons in Providence.
