SAD NEWS: Just In Miami Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra Just Announced The Departure Of Two Top Experienced Star Players…..

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the Miami Heat and Kevin Love have reached an agreement on a new two-year, $8 million contract.

Love could spend two more seasons in Miami thanks to the agreement. In order to sign a multi-year contract to remain with the Heat, Love chose to forego his $4 million contract for the current campaign.

Love, 35, mostly came off the bench as Bam Adebayo’s backup center last season, averaging 8.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 16.8 minutes per game. In those minutes, Love and Jimmy Butler, who plans to rejoin the Heat next season, clicked.

In his one and a half seasons in Miami, Love has become a respected veteran and a favorite in the locker room after agreeing to a buyout with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2023 and joining the Heat.

Last summer, Love agreed to a two-year, $8 million deal that included a player option for the 2024–2025 campaign. Love will be able to play until he is 37 years old thanks to this new contract, which does not include a player option for the second season.
