Good News: Virginia Tech Secures Commitment from Highly Rated 5-Star Quarterback Over Clemson and Auburn for 2026 Class**

Virginia Tech has secured a commitment from highly-rated 5-star quarterback Jett Thomalla for their 2026 recruiting class, choosing the Hokies over notable programs like Clemson and Auburn. Thomalla, hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, is recognized as the No. 231 overall player nationally, the No. 16 quarterback, and the top player in Nebraska, according to 247Sports.

This commitment marks a significant addition to Virginia Tech’s 2026 class, which already includes four-star wide receiver Carnell Warren from Bluffton, South Carolina. Warren, standing at 6-foot-4.5 and weighing 195 pounds, committed to the Hokies during the Under Armour All-America Game, choosing Virginia Tech over Duke, Wake Forest, and Georgia Tech.

Thomalla’s decision to join Virginia Tech is particularly noteworthy given the recent decommitment of four-star quarterback Peyton Falzone. Falzone, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound prospect from Nazareth, Pennsylvania, reopened his recruitment after previously committing to the Hokies, making Thomalla’s pledge a crucial boost for the program.

With Thomalla and Warren on board, Virginia Tech’s 2026 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the most promising in recent years, positioning the Hokies competitively against other top-tier programs.
