Breaking: Just In Wisconsin Badgers Officially Win 5 Star High Rated WR Commitment Over Indiana.

Tayshon Bardo, a wide receiver in the class of 2026, committed to the Wisconsin Badgers on Tuesday afternoon instead of Indiana. Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports reported the news. He had planned trips to Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan State, and other schools in June, but in the end, he chose the Badgers over the Hoosiers.

Standing 6’1 and 185 pounds, Bardo is regarded as the top wide receiver in the state of Indiana. He earned offers from 20 schools, including Michigan State, Indiana, Louisville, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and Vanderbilt. Bardo ranked as the No. 85 wide receiver in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. Additionally, he is recognized as the second-best player in the class from the state of Indiana. According to MaxPreps, Bardo finished the injury-shortened five-game season in 2024 with 16 receptions for 284 yards and seven touchdowns.

Wisconsin is still targeting the state for the 2026 class; it hosted two Greenwood Center Grove recruits (three-star tight end Dominick Barry and defensive lineman Kobe Cherry who is the younger brother of Hoosiers back up quarterback Tyler Cherry) as well as defensive lineman/tight end Blake Smythe who are all major Indiana Hoosier targets.
