Ohio State Football Receives Encouraging News from Top Prospect
The Ohio State Buckeyes continue their aggressive pursuit of elite talent to maintain their dominance in college football. Among their top recruiting priorities are five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair and cornerback Devin Sanchez, both key members of their 2025 class. Looking ahead to the 2026 recruiting cycle, one standout prospect on Ohio State’s radar is four-star defensive lineman Deuce Geralds from Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia.
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 250 pounds, Geralds is a dynamic athlete who has demonstrated versatility on both sides of the ball.
While he primarily plays defensive line, he has also contributed as a fullback and tight end on offense, showcasing his athleticism and adaptability.
Geralds has been building a strong connection with Ohio State since receiving an offer from the program in April 2023. His initial exposure to the Buckeyes came during a spring practice visit, where he was particularly impressed by defensive line coach Larry Johnson’s expertise and coaching style.
On Tuesday, April 1, Geralds made another visit to Ohio State, sharing his enthusiasm on social media:
“Extremely excited to be back in Columbus today!!!”
His visit was widely recognized, with On3’s Mick Walker reaffirming Geralds as a “top target for Larry Johnson.”
Geralds’ continued interest in Ohio State highlights the mutual admiration between the program and the highly regarded defensive lineman. However, the Buckeyes face stiff competition in securing his commitment, as he holds offers from powerhouse programs such as Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Miami.
As Ohio State continues assembling its future roster, landing a player of Geralds’ caliber would be a major boost to their defensive front. A commitment from him would help solidify the Buckeyes’ status as a top defensive program and ensure long-term success on the field.
