Breaking: Minnesota Vikings Officially Reached Mutual Agreement To Sign Top Veteran Quarterback:

Vikings Reportedly Eyeing Veteran QB

The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly exploring the option of signing veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill, according to FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz.

Schultz shared the update on his X account Friday (March 21), stating, “Sources: The #Vikings have had discussions with former #Titans QB Ryan Tannehill about a potential deal. Talks are ongoing and nothing is imminent as of right now, sources tell @NFLonFOX.”

Minnesota has reportedly been in contact with the 36-year-old quarterback as they move forward with plans to make J.J. McCarthy their starter in 2025. The Vikings have decided not to pursue four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers, especially after Sam Darnold — who started every game last season, including a playoff appearance — signed with the Seattle Seahawks.

Tannehill, who has 11 years of NFL experience, holds a career record of 81-70. During his time with the Tennessee Titans over the past five seasons, he compiled a 39-24 record. He took over for former No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota in 2019 and helped lead the Titans to the AFC Championship Game that season, where they were eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs — the first of Kansas City’s three Super Bowl titles.

A first-round pick out of Texas A&M by the Miami Dolphins, Tannehill has thrown for 34,881 yards, 216 touchdowns, and 115 interceptions while completing 3,063 of 4,764 pass attempts over his career.
