As of March 18, 2025, there is no official information indicating that the New Orleans Saints have parted ways with defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon. In fact, recent developments suggest that Kpassagnon remains an integral part of the team’s defensive lineup.
Kpassagnon, a versatile and experienced defensive lineman, is entering his fourth season with the Saints. Over his seven-year NFL career, he has appeared in 101 regular-season games, with 34 starts, amassing 139 tackles (92 solo) and 16.5 sacks. His journey with the Saints began in 2021 when he signed a two-year contract after a four-year stint with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the second round (59th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.
In February 2023, Kpassagnon reaffirmed his commitment to New Orleans by agreeing to a two-year contract extension, securing his position with the team through the 2024 season. However, in May 2024, he suffered a torn Achilles tendon during an offseason drill, sidelining him for the majority of the 2024 season. Despite this setback, the Saints designated him to return from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list in November 2024, opening a 21-day practice window for his potential activation. He was subsequently activated on December 14, 2024.
As of the latest updates, Kpassagnon is under contract with the Saints, and there have been no official announcements regarding his release or departure from the team. Therefore, any reports suggesting that the Saints have parted ways with Kpassagnon appear to be unfounded based on the current information available.
