Official Packer News: Just In Brian Gutekunst Officially Announced The Departure Of Another Fans Favorite Key Starter Few Hours Ago

Mason Crosby, the Green Bay Packers’ all-time leading scorer, officially retired from the NFL this week. Although he initially announced his retirement plans in February, he made it official by signing a one-day contract with the Packers to retire as a member of the team.

Following the announcement, Crosby shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing gratitude to the city of Green Bay and Packers fans. He described his time with the organization as a “blessing and privilege,” reflecting on the memories made and how his family grew during his 16 seasons with the team. While he no longer resides in Green Bay year-round, Crosby emphasized his continued commitment to supporting the community as an ambassador, focusing on helping important local initiatives.

In his note, Crosby thanked the Packers organization, his teammates, and fans for their unwavering support, friendships, and opportunities throughout his career. He concluded with a passionate statement: “Once a Packer, always a Packer!”

Crosby’s tenure with the Packers ended after the 2022 season when the team chose not to re-sign him. He later had brief stints with the Los Angeles Rams and New York Giants but only appeared in three regular-season games.
