Official WNBA News: Stephanie White Officially Announced The Signing Of Three-Time Champion To Active Roster

Caitlin Clark’s New Teammate Shares Emotional Message After Joining Indiana Fever

The Indiana Fever have made significant additions to their roster ahead of the 2025 WNBA season, including the signing of three-time champion Natasha Howard. The veteran forward, who began her career in Indiana, is expected to play a key role alongside Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston.

After signing with the Fever following two seasons with the Dallas Wings, Howard took to social media to express her emotions about returning to the franchise.

“This is the best I’ve ever been treated in my entire career. The love is unexplainable,” Howard wrote. “I’ve always mattered, now I’m being shown how much of an impact I’ve always been in the league. I can’t lie, it feels good. God is so amazing.”

The Fever’s front office made Howard a priority signing, with general manager Amber Cox emphasizing how much the team valued her experience.

“We have been focused on this day and this moment since the day we started this process,” Cox said in February.

Howard brings veteran leadership to a young and talented Fever squad that is looking to take a step forward after finishing 13-27 last season. The team has also strengthened its roster by signing DeWanna Bonner and Sophie Cunningham to build around Clark and Boston.

Howard has expressed her commitment to helping Indiana develop a winning mentality.

“We have the talent, we have the people to do it. I’m happy to be a part of this and also bring the leadership, the desire, to show this young group what it takes to win a championship,” she said during her introductory press conference.

Howard’s Career and Impact

A two-time All-Star, Howard was originally drafted by the Fever in 2014 before winning championships with the Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm. She has averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in her career and is widely recognized for her defensive presence.

Her leadership will be crucial as Indiana aims to rise in a competitive WNBA landscape. The Fever kick off their season on May 17 against the Chicago Sky, another team that has made major offseason moves.
