Ohio State wide receiver commit Chris Henry Jr., one of the nation’s top prospects, has scheduled an official visit to Miami from May 30 to June 1, according to On3Sports’ Hayes Fawcett.
In addition to Miami, Henry will take official visits to USC (June 6–8), Oregon (June 13–15), and Ohio State (June 20–22). He has been committed to the Buckeyes since July 2023.
The 6-foot-5, 205-pound wide receiver is the son of the late Chris Henry Sr. and currently plays for Mater Dei (Calif.), a powerhouse program that finished the 2024 season undefeated at 13-0 and was ranked No. 1 by MaxPreps after winning a state championship.
Ranked as the top receiver and the No. 6 overall player in the 2026 class by the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Henry has held an offer from Miami since June 2022. A versatile athlete, he has competed in basketball and track. He began his high school career at West Clermont (Ohio), where he played both wide receiver and defensive back, catching 29 passes for 292 yards and five touchdowns while recording three interceptions and two forced fumbles on defense.
His performance earned him MaxPreps Freshman All-American honors. Before transferring to Mater Dei, he also played at Withrow (Ohio).
Henry is among four wide receivers visiting Miami this summer. He will visit alongside Greene County (Miss.) wideout Jase Mathews and Top247 St. Augustine (Fla.) receiver Somourian Wingo, both scheduled for May 30 to June 1. Meanwhile, Top247 Red Oak (Texas) receiver Brayden Robinson will visit from June 6–8.
247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins described Henry as an elite receiver prospect with an ideal skill set for the next level. Despite not playing a premium NFL Draft position, Henry is talented enough to be considered the top overall recruit in the 2026 class. At nearly 6-foot-6 and 195 pounds, he combines size with impressive agility, quickness, and an exceptional catch radius. His ability to change direction, accelerate off the line, and win contested catches makes him a dominant playmaker. As he continues to develop and add strength, his game is expected to reach another level.
