Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns came up short once again, falling to the Ohio State Buckeyes 28-14 in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Cotton Bowl. This marks the second consecutive season that Texas has been eliminated in the final four.
With junior quarterback Quinn Ewers declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, Manning is now set to take over as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback next season. Since arriving in Austin in 2023, Manning has been one of the most well-known names in college football, largely due to his NFL lineage as the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.
Despite his fame, Manning has faced some challenges on campus. In a recent interview with sprungtime on TikTok, he was asked whether blending in at Texas has been difficult given his popularity. He acknowledged the attention but said he has found ways to manage it.
“As long as you just act like everyone else and live your life, it’s pretty easy,” Manning explained. “Obviously, it’s a little harder around campus, just getting recognized. Other than that, it’s been solid.”
He also mentioned that he has certain spots around Austin where he can escape the spotlight and be around people who aren’t as familiar with football.
