Done Deal: Just In Georgia Officially Announce The Signing Of 4-Star QB Stars To Squad.

The 2026 recruiting class is still in search of a quarterback for Georgia football. Jared Curtis, the nation’s top-ranked quarterback, is one name that every UGA supporter is familiar with, but Georgia is also pursuing a number of other highly skilled quarterbacks. One of those quarterbacks recently revealed the colleges he intends to visit in the future and the ones he is concentrating on in his recruitment. Although most of this information is only available to On3 customers, some information about this recruitment—which is fantastic news for Kirby Smart and Georgia—is available to the general public.

From Jackson, Alabama, Landon Duckworth is a four-star quarterback. Duckworth is ranked No. 4 in his home state of Alabama and No. 5 among quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports. In addition, he is ranked 66th overall in the nation. According to the social media post above, they are among Duckworth’s top schools, which is encouraging because he has been one of the few quarterbacks Georgia has targeted this recruiting cycle. Additionally, he is scheduled to make an official visit to four universities later this summer, including UGA.

On3’s Chad Simmons provided numerous updates regarding Duckworth’s recruiting here, but Georgia’s current rivals in this race are Ole Miss, Florida State, South Carolina, Auburn, and Missori. It’s noteworthy to note that South Carolina and UCF are ranked first in this recruiting by both 247Sports and On3, but Simmons’ report makes it very evident that’s not the case. After Duckworth probably makes a few trips this spring and some formal visits later this summer, it will be interesting to see who becomes the clear favourite.
