Breaking: Panthers Add Another To Experienced Wide Receiver To Roster

The Carolina Panthers have made a move to bolster their wide receiver group by signing Brycen Tremayne to a reserve/future contract. This addition gives the team another option at the position as they look ahead to the next season.

Tremayne brings both size and potential to Carolina’s roster. At 6-foot-4 and 212 pounds, he possesses the physical attributes that can make him a valuable target in the passing game. His height and build allow him to be a strong presence on the field, particularly in contested catch situations. The Panthers, who are looking to develop their depth at receiver, will be eager to see what he can contribute.

Before joining Carolina, Tremayne spent the past two seasons with the Washington Commanders, primarily on their practice squad. Though he did not see significant playing time, he continued to develop his skills and work toward earning a spot on an active roster. His perseverance paid off when he was elevated to Washington’s roster for two games during the 2023 season, giving him his first taste of NFL action.

Tremayne’s journey to the league began at Stanford, where he played college football. Despite not being selected in the NFL Draft, he signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent. During his time with the Cardinal, he demonstrated reliable hands and solid route-running ability, traits that helped him land an opportunity at the professional level.

With the Panthers, Tremayne will have a chance to compete for a role during offseason workouts and training camp. Reserve/future contracts are typically given to young or developmental players, allowing them to continue training with the team and showcase their abilities ahead of the next season. If he performs well, he could earn a more prominent role within Carolina’s receiving corps.

As the Panthers look to build their roster under new leadership, finding hidden gems like Tremayne could be key to strengthening their offense. His combination of size, experience, and potential makes him an intriguing player to watch as he begins this new chapter in his career.
