Tom Brady’s Stance on Potential Maxx Crosby Trade Revealed
While Mark Davis remains the primary owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Tom Brady’s influence on the organization is growing. After purchasing a stake in the franchise last year, the legendary quarterback is already playing a significant role in major team decisions. Although his level of involvement in daily operations is still uncertain, his presence is undeniable.
One of the most pressing issues for the Raiders is finding a long-term solution at quarterback, but another key concern is defensive star Maxx Crosby’s contract situation. Crosby has repeatedly voiced his frustration this offseason about not having any guaranteed money left on his deal, leading to speculation from fans that he could be traded. However, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, there is no chance of that happening.
Russini reports that Brady is firmly against the idea of moving on from Crosby, making it clear that he sees the star pass rusher as a cornerstone of the franchise. Speaking on the “Scoop City” podcast, Russini stated, “He has his hands all over everything… He’s going to make sure that Maxx Crosby is a pillar of the Las Vegas Raiders. You can’t move on from a guy like Maxx Crosby.”
Despite dealing with injuries in 2024, Crosby remains one of the NFL’s elite defensive players. The 27-year-old has already earned two All-Pro selections and four Pro Bowl nods, proving his value as a dominant force on defense. His combination of talent and leadership makes him an essential piece for the Raiders as they continue to build their roster.
Brady’s commitment to keeping Crosby suggests that the Raiders will likely prioritize restructuring his contract to provide him with more financial security. Rather than trading one of their best players, the team appears focused on solidifying its core and strengthening the defense around Crosby.
With Brady exerting his influence, Raiders fans can rest assured that their star defender isn’t going anywhere.
