Auburn Football Aiming to Flip 4-Star Miami Linebacker Commit
Auburn football is making strides to flip 4-star linebacker, a Miami commit, as newly appointed outside linebackers coach Roc Bellantoni intensifies the recruiting effort. Bellantoni, who previously served on Auburn’s staff under Bryan Harsin and most recently was Florida Atlantic’s defensive coordinator, returned to Auburn this offseason and immediately got to work on recruiting.
Campbell, a standout from Opa Locka, Florida, is ranked as the No. 4 linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 10 overall prospect in Florida. While he committed to Miami in November 2023, he remains open to other programs and recently visited Auburn for the second time, with trips to Alabama and Georgia also on his schedule.
“When [Bellantoni] first got the job, me and him had a conversation about me getting up there and my film and everything,” Campbell shared with Auburn Rivals. “That means everything to me. That just shows a lot of interest in what they have and how much they believe in me being a football player and who I say I am.”
During his visit, Campbell toured Auburn’s facilities, but the highlight was learning about the defensive schemes he could be part of if he joined the Tigers.
“My favorite part today was probably just showing us off what they can do for us, how they can make our body look in one year, how they can change my body in one year,” Campbell said. “Basically, just telling me about their scheme and their defenses and stuff and things that I’m comfortable with playing. They run like a 3-4. I’m comfortable playing, and I play the 3-3-5. They’re a 4-2 team. They’re really a multiple defense, and I’m used to playing in multiple defenses.”
The Tigers are gearing up for a major Junior Day recruiting event next weekend, and Campbell hinted that a third visit to Auburn could be on the horizon. Auburn’s push to add Campbell reflects the program’s commitment to strengthening its defense under Bellantoni’s guidance.
