Auburn Football Adds Former South Carolina QB
Auburn football has bolstered its quarterback depth by signing Tanner Bailey, a former South Carolina player and Class of 2022 recruit, according to 247Sports.
Bailey, who hails from Gordo, Alabama, originally signed with South Carolina but stepped away from football in January 2024. He returned home, enrolled at Auburn as a student, and after graduating in December, decided to resume his football career while pursuing a second degree.
During his time at South Carolina, Bailey saw limited action, appearing in just one game over two seasons.
His addition provides Auburn with additional depth at quarterback ahead of the upcoming spring practices.
Auburn’s quarterback room has undergone significant changes this offseason. The Tigers secured 5-star recruit Deuce Knight in the 2025 class, while also adding transfers Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma and Ashton Daniels from Stanford. Bailey’s signing adds another layer of competition to the restructured unit as Auburn prepares for the new season.
