Auburn Offensive Lineman to Return for 2025 Season
Auburn football received a significant boost to its offensive line on Wednesday as starting right guard Jeremiah Wright announced his decision to return for the 2025 season. Wright made the announcement via social media, sharing a graphic that featured the words “I’m back.”
Wright has been a cornerstone of Auburn’s offensive line, starting all 12 games at right guard during the 2024 season. His consistency and performance earned him recognition as Auburn’s second-highest-graded starting offensive lineman, according to Pro Football Focus. His return ensures stability and experience for the Tigers as they look to build on their 2024 campaign.
Wright’s decision also keeps alive the possibility of Auburn returning all five of its starting offensive linemen next season. The team is awaiting a decision from tackle Izavion Miller, who could return under the NCAA’s new JUCO ruling. If Miller opts to stay, Auburn would retain a veteran unit that includes Wright, Connor Lew, Bradyn Joiner, and Dillon Wade.
Beyond the returning starters, Auburn has bolstered its offensive line with the addition of two experienced transfers. Tackle Mason Murphy and tackle Xavier Chaplin bring Power Four starting experience, adding depth and competition to the roster. These additions, combined with the core group of returning players, position Auburn’s offensive line to be a formidable unit in 2025.
Wright’s leadership and proven track record will be invaluable for the Tigers, both on and off the field. With a strong blend of returning talent and incoming transfers, Auburn’s offensive line is shaping up to be one of the team’s strengths next season.
The commitment of players like Wright highlights the optimism surrounding Auburn football as it prepares for the future. Retaining experienced players and integrating new talent will be key as the Tigers aim to make significant strides in the coming season.
