In his previous five games, Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman has a 1-3-1 record and has let up 20 goals.
When he addressed the media after Monday night’s disappointing defeat to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Boston goalie wasn’t afraid to accept blame.
“There are certain behaviors I could improve on. According to audio released by the team, Swayman stated, “There are experiences that I can use to my advantage.” However, tough individuals endure; harsh times do not. That’s how I think: there’s always tomorrow. I’m going to prevail.
Swayman, a 25-year-old native of Alaska, doesn’t think that his poor start to the 2024–25 season is due to the fact that he missed all of the Bruins’ training camp.
Swayman remarked, “I believe I’ve had enough time to adjust and get back to things.” I believe that this group was the most significant thing I lost out on. I’m working hard to regain my leadership skills and just be in a room, and I want my play to speak for itself. I have to take the initiative, and I will do just that.
The narrative continues beneath the commercial.
Swayman continued by saying that even if he isn’t giving his best effort, he doesn’t think he is placing undue pressure on himself.
“I don’t think the word pressure is appropriate. Standard, I believe, is the term I would use, and the standard I hold myself to is not being reached at the moment,” Swayman clarified. And once more, that will occur in our professional lives.

“I’ve followed and looked up to many seasoned men who have experienced both highs and lows. I’m in one right now, and I’ll try all in my power to get out of it because I know it will feel great. I’m going to do just that since I know how to get out of it.
