Ryan Williams, a rookie receiver, said that following last week’s decisive victory over LSU, Alabama star quarterback Jalen Milroe apologized to his Crimson Tide wide outs. 11 Tide faced the No. 15 Tigers. The intense rivalry has grown to be among the strongest in the SEC, and the anticipation for this year’s game earned ABC a primetime spot.
It was anticipated that the game would be tight, with Alabama leading by 2.5 points (ESPN BET). Unfortunately for LSU, however, Milroe and company’s performance was comparable to that of their 42-28 victory in Tuscaloosa last year.

Milroe alone contributed 185 of the 312 yards that Alabama gained from their rush. Williams, one of the best young playmakers in the sport, said Milroe was upset that Alabama’s receivers were mainly excluded from the offensive output because of the running game’s success. Williams, however, had a different opinion.
In his initial response, he praised his quarterback’s outstanding performance and shared some details of their Monday talk. “He’s a baller, he’s a dog,” Williams acknowledged to reporters. … “He says, ‘I’m sorry,’ while we’re on the sidelines.
” “Bro, check out your stats,” I say. We don’t give a damn. We’re winning. We are thus delighted to be a member of his team and are pleased and happy for him.” As a second-year starter, Milroe is having an incredible season. With 13 touchdowns and six interceptions, the junior has accumulated 2,046 throwing yards.
With a single-season program record of 565 yards and 16 touchdowns, he also leads the club in running. Although he is only a true freshman, Williams is also enjoying an exceptional season. The former five-star has the most catches (37), receiving yards (731) and touchdowns (7) of any player on the club.
Despite two defeats thus far, Alabama’s victory over LSU has kept first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer’s team in the running for the College Football Playoffs. Before concluding the regular season against Oklahoma (5-5) and Auburn (3-6), the Tide will play Mercer (9-1) at home on Saturday.
