SAD NEWS: Just In Kansas State Wildcats Football Coach Chris Klieman Breaks Silence On Top Experienced Superstar Exit Due To…..

In 2024, Kansas football has had a very dismal season. With a conference-low two wins and six defeats, the Jayhawks have dropped to the basement of the Big 12 standings, despite starting the season with expectations of making the College Football Playoffs. For Lance Leipold and Company, it has been a catastrophe.

Although we won’t single out one player for the team’s failures, quarterback Jalon Daniels’ subpar performance has undoubtedly added to KU’s difficulties. The man who was once called a Heisman Trophy candidate has made some awful errors at critical times. Shehan Jeyarajah’s most current Big 12 quarterback rankings on CBS Sports now take his performance into account:

Jalon Daniels of Kansas football falls in the most recent Big 12 quarterback rankings.
Perhaps the most annoying story in the Big 12 this season, aside from Cameron Rising of Utah, has been Daniels. After missing the most of the previous season due to an injury, the junior had a catastrophic comeback to the starting lineup, throwing eight interceptions in his first five games. done the past three games, Daniels has begun to revert to his previous level of play; however, Kansas is 2-6 and their season is all but done.

Shehan Jeyarajah
Jeyarajah is absolutely correct, as much as Jayhawk supporters would like to deny it. The ‘disappointing years’ ranking put Daniels, Noah Fifita, and Garrett Greene in Tier III. The Jayhawks and Daniels have not had a successful 2024, much like the Wildcats and Mountaineers.

When Daniels returned to the field at the start of the campaign, the city of Lawrence was thrilled. Despite playing well in the three games he participated in previous season, he missed nine games due to a persistent back problem. He was a redshirt in the program, and expectations were high for 2024.

Regretfully, he never looked good straight away. During the first five games of the season, the junior signal-caller turned the ball over ten times, resulting in eight interceptions. After eight games, he presently has 1,521 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Although he has recently improved his skills, he little resembles the player that helped Kansas go off to a 5-0 start in 2022.

Kansas has lost a number of games as a result of Daniels’ errors, particularly in the fourth quarter. In the Sunflower Showdown, his unexplainable late blunder ended KU’s hopes of ending the team’s 16-year losing run against Kansas State. The Jayhawks have not had enough quarterback performance, even though the defense has been poor and other parts of the squad are weak.
