The MLBPA has announced the 2024 Players Choice Award candidates, and the Atlanta Braves will have three players competing for some hardware during the summer.
Max Fried has advanced to the finals of the Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award, which is presented to the athlete “whose leadership most inspires others to higher levels of achievement.” Fried’s advancement is a significant award. Additionally, a $25,000 donation will be given to the winner’s preferred charity or cause.
Chris Sale has been nominated for the National League’s Outstanding Pitcher Award, and Marcell Ozuna is a nominee for the league’s Outstanding Player Award. Chris Sale may have a huge night on Saturday in terms of individual honors because he was also nominated for the National League’s Comeback Player Award.
