For the rest of the season, Kansas State’s football team will be without one of its reliable backup linebackers. Beau Palmer, a 6-foot-2 senior defender from Overland Park, had a knee injury during Kansas State’s 45-18 victory over West Virginia, and Chris Klieman has declared that he will not be able to play again this season.
Klieman remarked, “I am sick for Beau because I witnessed it happen to him a few years ago and he fought so hard to come back here and play for his friends.” This season, Palmer has gotten a lot of play in the center of K-State’s defense behind Austin Romaine. In the season opener against Tennessee-Martin, he had one of his eight tackles for loss.
