Caitlin Clark, a former Iowa Hawkeye, is still having an incredible time in the WNBA even though her debut season with the Indiana Fever is finished. The league announced on Wednesday that Clark was the first rookie to be named to the All-WNBA team since Los Angeles Sparks player Candace Parker in 2008.
A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty, and Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun are the other four players who made the first team in addition to Clark. The Fever posted a congratulations message for Clark on X as soon as the WNBA announced the news.

” With this new accomplishment, Clark’s already impressive resume—which already includes Player of the Month, WNBA All-Star, and Rookie of the Year—is even more impressive. Not to mention the countless records she shattered during the campaign, such as the highest number of points scored by a rookie and the most assists in a season.
In addition, Clark became the first rookie guard to be selected to the All-WNBA first team since 2004—a feat last accomplished by Phoenix Mercury star Diana Taurasi, according to StatMamba on X.

Rebilas-Imagn Images In 2024, Clark participated in all 40 Indiana games and finished the season with league-high averages of 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists. Clark and fellow All-Stars Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell enabled the Fever to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2016. But, two games into Round 1 against the Connecticut Sun, their postseason run came to an end.
