However, Kelly stated that graduate senior wide receiver CJ Daniels is expected to participate after having yet another successful practice day on Thursday.

Daniels’ knee injury kept him out of last week’s LSU vs. Ole Miss game.

This weekend, LSU will likely start Kyren Lacy, a fifth-year senior, redshirt sophomore Aaron Anderson, junior Zavion Thomas, and Daniels at wide receiver.

Trey’Dez Green, a rookie tight end who Kelly indicated on Monday would play more wide receiver for the remainder of the season, could also be joining those four.

“We’re gonna keep it to a minimum in terms of what we’re doing, but make it impactful,” Kelly stated. “I believe it’s critical that he takes the field. I believe it’s critical that he be included in the plan and that you ask yourself, “Who’s that guy?” as you leave.

“However, we are unable to get him out there and ensure that he is not making mental mistakes, lining up, or placing us in a position where we are slowing down the attack. We believe we’ve discovered that (sweet) spot, and he’s handled it rather well, in my opinion.”
