SAD NEWS: Just In Indiana Fever Just Announced The Departure Of Another Fans Favorite Top Sensational Star Player Due To….

When the Indiana Fever play the Dallas Wings on September 15, they hope to return to winning ways. The Fever need to win on Sunday to guarantee the No. 6 spot in the playoffs after suffering two straight losses to the Las Vegas Aces.

In the second half, Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, who had gotten off to an uncharacteristically poor start against the Aces on Friday, came close to achieving her third triple-double with 18 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 9.0 assists. Midway through the second quarter, Clark broke the single-season assist record (317) in the Fever’s 78-74 loss to the WNBA champions.

The league leader in average assists (8.4) is the No. 1 overall choice, who has already surpassed the record for the most assists in a single game (19). The Fever revealed that Clark, who leads all rookies in average scoring (19.1), broke another WNBA record prior to tipoff versus the Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

When Indiana played its penultimate regular season game, the Fever announced that Clark had tied the lease for the most double-digit games played by a rookie with “34 and counting.” Before halftime, Clark had 15 points, setting a new record for herself as the WNBA’s front-runner for Rookie of the Year against the Wings.

According to Clark, “I think everybody’s just kind of raising their game,” for the Friday press conference. “The competition’s just getting better and better, and it’s fun as a competitor to show up in this league every night and know you have to bring your best, because whoever’s on the other side of the court from you, they’re going to bring their best, and that’s what makes it fun.”
