The Minnesota Lynx defeated Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever 99-88 on Friday night, the Fever’s only setback since the WNBA resumed play following the Olympic break. It seemed like Clark missed a lot of calls during the game. Throughout, she had voiced her displeasure at the absence of calls. When the referee called a blocking call on the Lynx at the end of the third quarter, Clark started applauding the official for finally making the correct decision.
Christie Sides took no chances and pulled the former Iowa Hawkeyes star, Clark having accumulated five technical fouls on the season and being two games away from suspension, out of the game for the rest of the quarter.

“But that’s growth, and she’s got to learn that in those moments, I need my point guard to have a cool head, get us in whatever we need to be in offensively.” Clark finished with eight rebounds, eight assists, and twenty-five points on eight of his twenty-one shots. Despite the setback, the Fever remain ahead of the Phoenix Mercury by one game for the sixth spot in the WNBA playoffs. They are now 18-17 overall for the season.
