SAD NEWS: Just In Boston Bruins Confirm Fans Favorite Brad Marchand Just Terminate His Contract With Bruins Due To……

The captain of the Boston Bruins, Brad Marchand, disclosed at the team’s first preseason session that he had three operations this summer. Marchand is in the final year of an eight-year, $49 million contract. According to Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, the surgeries included one for a damaged tendon in his elbow, as well as groin and hernia treatments.

Now that training camp is scheduled to begin on September 18, it is unclear if Marchand will be available. Marchand informed reporters, “Trying to be ready for camp is the goal.” “Else, very soon after. I’m now just sort of readjusting to life here.” Resuming his regular offseason training “approximately two weeks ago,” Marchand stated, is a far cry from ideal given the difficult recuperation needed following three major operations and the fact that the Bruins captain is already thirty-six years old.

Marchand expressed satisfaction with his strength, but he also noted that getting back to full fitness will take some time. Marchand remarked, “This summer is not like what I’m used to.

” “Until the season, perhaps. It could require some time later in the season. However, I’ll skate the way I usually would throughout the summer for the next two months and treat it like the summer-train.” Marchand continued to play through these ailments in the 2023–24 season, contributing 38 assists to the Bruins’ total of 29 goals scored. Speaking of Marchand’s present state, Shinzawa stated that he is concentrating on “solo sessions and gym work.”
