DONE DEAL: Just In Golden State Warriors Just Announced The Signing Of Another Top Sensational High Profile Superstar From……

There will be more shooting in the frontcourt for the Golden State Warriors. Davis Bertans is a free agent, and the Warriors are interested in him, as his agent Arturs Kalnitis announced on Instagram.

About Bertans, Kalnitis wrote this.

“Davis Bertans will train with the Golden State Warriors for the upcoming season. Good luck, DB, in the Bay Area.”

Regarding the Warriors’ stance on Bertans, Kalnitis did not elaborate. They might make him an offer for a training camp or the veteran’s minimum contract. Bertans might be the most recent addition to their roster of fresh faces.

With the addition of Buddy Hield, De’Anthony Melton, and Kyle Anderson, Golden State has strengthened its rotation. Bertans, if all goes well, may be yet another valuable asset.

In 2020, Bertans was awarded a contract of $80 million, spanning five years. The Charlotte Hornets waived him because the previous year was partially guaranteed for $5.2 million.

Golden State Gets Greater Floor Spacing From Davis Bertans
Bertans has established himself as a big man with floor-spacing ability since joining the NBA. With the Washington Wizards in 2019–20, Bertans had his greatest season to date.

Bertans shot 42.4% from three point range and scored 15.4 points per game. Bertans went on to make 8.7 three-pointers on average per game. The Wizards granted him the extension over the next offseason because of his performance.

Bertans has never again achieved the same stats since. Nevertheless, throughout his half-season with the Hornets, he began to exhibit traits of his previous self. Bertans made 6.3 tries from three-point range and shot 37.5% to average 8.8 points per game in 28 games.

Bertans won’t likely be used by the Warriors as much as the Wizards did in the past. But his three-point range might be quite useful to them. Having large men who can spread the floor like him has been advantageous for the Warriors.

Otto Porter Jr. and Marreese Speights provided them with important floor spacing given their stature prior to Bertans. More importantly, having that available to them enabled them to take home victories. Bertans may not be the key to the Warriors’ championship chances, but he may make them back to the postseason.

Insider Verifies Golden State’s Davis Bertans Situation
Following Kulnitis’ post indicating that Bertans would return to Golden State, NBA Insider Marc Stein used his X account to provide all the information regarding Bertans’ current status with the Warriors.

As Golden State considers inviting the Latvian shooter to a training camp, Dāvis Bertāns has been invited to try out for the team, according to Stein.
