The Washington Mystics and Chicago Sky will play on Wednesday night at Wintrust Arena. Since the break, the Sky has fallen its previous two games by a total of four points and has lost four out of the last five. However, according to Annie Costabile of The Chicago Sun-Times, the Sky’s Tuesday practice was abruptly canceled after many payers became ill.
“Sky practice was abruptly canceled on Tuesday morning due to multiple players feeling sick, according to the team,” Cstabile posted to X. “They are scheduled to play the Mystics tomorrow at 7PM.
” It turns out that COVID-19 testing is being done, according to Sky General Manager Jeff Pagliocca. “We’re testing for COVID-19 and speaking with our doctors to hear what they would suggest progression-wise,” Pagliocca stated. Fans were therefore understandably concerned about Angel Reese and the Sky.
“I’m praying for the players! Happy healing, “wrote a fan. Someone else said, “So what does this mean if they test positive, wouldn’t everyone have to quarantine???”

The Chicago Sky players who are ill are being tested for the ‘rona, you guessed it. I hope they recover and that’s not the case.
Another fan stated, “There’s no way to “make up a game” in the #WNBA.” “It is not in the vernacular of Chicago Sky to catch a break. The most important thing, though, is that everyone is okay and can recover their health,” remarked a second person.
The Sky are currently engaged in a seven-day stretch of four games. They play a highly anticipated game against the Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark on Friday before concluding their homestand and heading to Minnesota. The official injury report as of Tuesday afternoon was made public, showing that Chennedy Carter was out due to health and safety procedures and Elizabeth Williams was out with a knee injury. Fans of Sky responded in yet another round of ways to the report.
According to Costabile, numerous Sky players heeded the medical staff’s instructions and wore masks at the Sachs Recreation Center. The Sky’s most recent game was on Sunday in Chicago versus the Las Vegas Aces. In light of the most recent developments, it will be worthwhile to keep a watch on the Sky during the coming days.
