Breaking News: Auburn Tigers Just Announced Season Ending Injury Of Another Top Experienced Star Player Ahead Of Season Opener…….

Hugh Freeze, the head coach of Auburn football, provides an update on a number of Tigers
August is coming to a conclusion, and Auburn football is returning. The Tigers play Alabama A&M at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. to begin their second season under head coach Hugh Freeze.

Ensuring his players stay healthy and prevent severe injuries before the season begins soon became one of Freeze’s top goals during fall camp, especially after it became known that Texas running back Christian Clark had torn his ACL and would be sidelined for the season.

Thus, what has been the Tigers’ performance in the run-up to 2024? While there were no significant injuries, a few players had minor bumps. Freeze reports that linebacker Austin Keys and cornerback Keionte Scott are both “probably” but should be able to play this weekend.

Freeze stated, “Our medical team felt like (Keys) was a probable,” according to Auburn Rivals. “Today is only a walkthrough day, so he has another day-to-day. For me to feel that way, I’m going to need to see something from him on Tuesday and Wednesday. They felt that way for him and Keionte.”

KeAndre Lambert-Smith, a transfer wide receiver, returned to practice last week after dealing with a small ankle injury earlier in camp. He is anticipated to start this Saturday.

Lastly, after overcoming a serious gastrointestinal ailment, kicker Alex McPherson is still gaining weight and getting well, but he is not anticipated to be ready to play this weekend. Towns McGough, a true freshman who dazzled during the A-Day game, is probably going to start.

“Alex is, in fact, far superior. Don’t hold me to it, but I don’t think he’ll be prepared to travel,” Freeze stated. Towns had a great week last week and is ready and willing to go. Although I believe that’s where it’s going, Alex did kick a little last Thursday. He won’t be completely prepared on Saturday, in my opinion.”

Before their home stretch of five games and their season opener, Auburn football is, all things considered, in excellent shape.
