On Friday, Clark and the Fever defeated the Phoenix Mercury 98-89 to start the second half of the WNBA season in spectacular fashion. Clark made 8 of 16 free throws and finished with a massive double-double of 29 points and 10 assists. As the Fever defeated the Mercury for the third time in a row, they moved to 12-15 overall and 11-7 over their previous eighteen games. Backcourt partner Kelsey Mitchell scored 28 points in the victory.
The Storm, who lost to the Atlanta Dream 83-81 on Friday night, will play the second of three games on the road to start the second half of the season. They are currently 0-1 overall. Olympic gold winner Lloyd shot just 7 of 19 from the field for 21 points in the game, while Skylar Diggins-Smith led the charge with 29.
