Los Angeles Rams Officially Announced THE Signing OF Another Fans Favorite Top Sensational Star Player From……

The running back SaRodorick Thompson Jr. was signed by the Los Angeles Rams, it was announced.

The New Orleans Saints originally signed Thompson as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech the previous season. After that, he ended up with the Seattle Seahawks, where he played for most of the 2023 regular season. On December 8, he was released from the team.

Between 2018 and 2022, Thompson had 540 carries for 2,664 running yards and 40 touchdowns while attending Texas Tech.

With Zach Evans, Blake Corum, Ronnie Rivers, Boston Scott, and Kyren Williams, the Rams’ running back group is already fairly deep, so it’s not apparent why they felt the need to add another. It’s possible that someone has an unreported injury and may need to miss some time.

With just one preseason game remaining, Thompson will have to work hard to earn a spot on the Rams roster and won’t have much time to make an impression on the coaching staff. Evans might possibly face cuts at the end of camp because the Rams have traditionally maintained four running backs on their roster.

But, considering how many injuries at the position occur on average during a season, a team can never have too much depth at running back. Therefore, the Rams may be able to sign Thompson to the practice squad even if he doesn’t make the 53-man roster in order to maintain that depth in the organization in case they need him later in the season.

However, Williams is anticipated to be the team’s workhorse in the backfield, much like he was the previous season. Corum was selected by the Rams in the third round, indicating their strong interest in him and his potential to improve their running back group.

Rams waive Jerry Jacobs, a cornerback, after he settles his injury claim.
The Rams also declared that they have waived cornerback Jerry Jacobs with an injury settlement in a different roster move. Although it’s unclear what kind of injury Jacobs has, his time with the team was brief. A few weeks prior, he was signed to bolster the secondary as other players dealt with personal injuries.
