Several players turned in outstanding performances to help the Indiana Fever defeat the Seattle Storm 92–75. With 27 points, Kelsey Mitchell led the club; Caitlin Clark scored 23 points and dished out nine assists.
Especially in the fourth quarter, when she scored 12 of her career-high 22 points, Lexie Hull was vital. The Fever have been playing better as the season goes on, so this victory was a huge accomplishment.
Breaking the record for WNBA rookie assists held by Ticha Penicheiro since 1998, Caitlin Clark created history. In five of her previous six games, Clark, the top overall choice in the 2024 draft, has scored at least 20 points. With a current scoring streak of 23.7 points and 11.7 assists per game, she has been a vital member of the Fever, demonstrating her value to the team’s accomplishments.

Hull and Mitchell were very effective in the scoring department; Mitchell finished with 10 of 19 field goals and five 3-pointers, while Hull made 8 of 10 field goals, including six 3-pointers. Aliyah Boston had a major contribution as well, pulling down 15 rebounds and going close to recording a triple-double with eight assists and nine points. It took a team effort to defeat the Storm, and everyone’s contributions were evenly distributed.
Up until the fourth quarter, when Indiana pulled away with a decisive 14-5 run, the game was close. Jewell Loyd of Seattle momentarily trimmed the advantage to one point, but Hull’s clutch back-to-back 3-pointers and Indiana’s offensive surge answered. With just over two minutes left, the Fever increased their lead to 90-71, thus securing the victory.
Even though Jewell Loyd, Skylar Diggins-Smith, and Nneka Ogwumike of Seattle had excellent individual games, the team as a whole underperformed, shooting only 38.9% from the field.
With 12 games remaining, Indiana has matched their season win total while making notable progress, having won four of their last five games. As the last stretch of the regular season draws near, the Fever are trending upward.
