Reunited with the Atlanta Braves, Jorge Soler is attempting to lead the team to another deep postseason run. However, the 32-year-old slugger is experiencing tightness in his hamstrings, which won’t endanger him for the remainder of the season but will likely need him to take a few games off.
After recovering from a hamstring injury, Michael Harris II is back in the lineup, but the Braves are still without another important position player. Luckily, the MLB injury updates page states that Soler is regarded as day-to-day.
“Soler received good news on Thursday when an MRI exam revealed just a mild left hamstring strain,” reads the MLB injury website. The outfielder will miss Friday’s series opening in Anaheim, but he believes that this weekend’s game against the Angels may be his last opportunity to play. Brian Snitker, the manager of the Braves, might play it safe and bench Soler until the beginning of the series against the Phillies the following week.
Jorge Soler wants to strengthen the Braves’ outfield in the last stretch of the 2024 campaign.
After joining Atlanta, Soler has continued his success, with 11 RBI in 13 games and a.978 OPS. In his place, the current MVP Ronald Acuña Jr. is doing a great job and adding some spark to the offense.
