SAD NEWS: Just In TEXAS LONGHORNS Confirm Two Top Sensational Star Players Just Announced Shocking Departure Due To……

Preseason camp for Texas football began this week with three full days of fall practice. Beginning on July 31, Texas and head coach Steve Sarkisian conducted three days of fall practice with helmets and shorts.

In the first week of preseason camp, Texas football’s wide receivers stole the show. Sarkisian and the Longhorns worked out at Frank Denius Fields in the customary afternoon session on July 1 and August 1. Texas held an indoor workout on Friday for the third day of drills at their preseason camp.

When Texas takes the practice field for exercises on August 3, Day 4 of preseason camp, it will have a more compressed workout.

There were open media viewing windows for the Longhorns’ first two days of fall practice this week. The media viewing window’s first day lasted a lot longer than its second.

The receiving corps has been one of the most talked-about position groups during the first few days of fall practice. Eight or nine wideouts, all highly skilled and deep, are in competition for first-team practice reps under Sarkisian and Chris Jackson this autumn.

These three wide receivers from Texas grabbed attention during the first week of autumn practice.

Ryan Wingo

Ryan Wingo, a true freshman, made a big impression as the Longhorns’ early enrollee during spring ball. From the moment Wingo arrived on campus to begin offseason training this year in the winter, he gave off the appearance of a true freshman with immediate impact.

We reported yesterday in an article on the website that during practice this week, in one-on-one receiver drills, none of the Texas defensive backs have been able to cover Wingo.

Early in fall camp, Wingo emerged as one of Texas’s most formidable pass-catchers among the top six players thanks to his mix of size, speed, and ball tracking. He has often taken second-team reps throughout this week’s first three autumn workouts. Since spring ball, he is the only true freshman to have played with the second team this frequently.
Bolden, Silas

The other newcomer to the Longhorns this offseason, senior transfer Silas Bolden, a former Oregon State Beavers graduate, has already made an impression on the coaching staff and his teammates.

Bolden was the final of the three transfer wide receivers the Longhorns signed this offseason via the portal. Isaiah Bond and Matthew Golden, two junior transfer wideouts, came to campus early to play spring ball earlier in the offseason.

Despite enrolling early in June to begin summer exercises, Bolden obviously didn’t slow down. During the first week of fall practice, he has been the buzz of the town for both the special teams unit in the return game and the receiving corps.

Bolden has immediately established himself as a key member of the Longhorns offense and defense in fall camp thanks to his ability to make tough contested catches, display impressive speed, and influence the return game.

Regarding the first-week returns and the comments from Bolden’s fall workouts this week, his ability to get physical as a wide receiver blocker also drew my attention. On August 3 (premium content), OTF’s Gerry Hamilton stated that Bolden had been the Texas wideouts’ “most physical” blocker during team drills in the past three days.
