The Miami Heat All-Star Bam Adebayo and NBA pundit Brian Windhorst’s argument over Team USA is almost over.
The dispute arose from Windhorst’s prediction that Adebayo would follow Jayson Tatum in missing a game for Team USA versus Serbia. Rather, Adebayo played well with the second unit against South Sudan, scoring eighteen points on ten shots. He criticized Windhorst’s initial comment in a social media post that he made after this performance.
The NBA commentator shared that Adebayo had a lot to say about his dire forecast, so he didn’t remain mute.
“Bam Adebayo was all over me after the game,” Windhorst stated on SportsCenter. “Because I speculated that he might be the player that would see his minutes reduced to get Tatum back in the game.”
Windhorst’s most recent statement isn’t entirely true because he went beyond simply forecasting a decrease in playing time. He revealed during the Pat McAfee Show that “Tatum will be making an appearance. They have to play the perimeter, so they will be switching all those screens. A player like Bam Adebayo might be benched.
It was hinted, though he never stated outright that Adebayo sat the entire game. The Heat big man’s skill is not being overlooked; Ashley Nicole Moss of CBS Sports recently attempted to cast doubt on his impressive play.
