GOOD NEWS: Just In New York Yankees Just Confirm The Signing Of Another Top Sensational High Profile Superstar From……..

Whoah. That guy, is that him? Brett Phillips, a seasoned outfielder, signed a Minor League contract with the New York Yankees on Tuesday, but he will no longer be playing outfield.

After playing in Major League Baseball for seven seasons, Phillips is now attempting his hand at pitching.

The seasoned bat turned to pitching after being released from a Minors deal with the Chicago White Sox earlier this year, and he has been developing as a reliever. He made an appearance in a semi-pro game on Monday, pitching a fastball that reached 97 mph and striking out the side on 15 pitches.

With the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball, the 30-year-old right-hander participated in 40 games last season. Throughout his career, he has also played for the Baltimore Orioles, Tampa Bay Rays, Milwaukee Brewers, and Kansas City Royals.

Phillips is eternal.187 career games played, 31 home runs, 39 stolen bases, and 393 hits. As a position player, he appeared in five mound appearances but had little success, giving up 12 hits and nine runs in 5.1 innings.

Baseball fans remember the exuberant Phillips for his strong glove and contagious attitude, but after Chicago released him in May, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel revealed that he has begun to take pitching seriously.

MJS also stated that on Monday, in the National Baseball Congress World Series, which is played between college and semi-pro baseball teams in Wichita, he started for the GPS Legends of Texas on the mound for the first time since Little League, winning 9-3 against the Seattle Blackfins.

“I didn’t prepare for this in a week,” Phillips said to Wichita Eagle reporter Taylor Eldridge. I’ve done a great deal of work. I truly want to pursue this, and it’s been a well-thought-out process. I think I can still have a significant impact at the major league level.

He now becomes a part of a Yankees team that is known for getting the most out of its relievers. Phillips’ first affiliated ball level is unknown, but with his powerful heater, he might return to the Majors quickly.
