Braves News: Confirm Another Top Sensational Star Player Injury Update Atlanta Signs Top Experienced Star And More……

Reynaldo Lopez had one of his worst starts of the season in a 4-1 defeat to the Reds, and the Braves offense went into slumber. As they struggle to win games in the second half of the season, Atlanta has now dropped three straight.

The announcement this morning that Atlanta had signed veteran utility player Whit Merrifield to a major league contract was, of course, the biggest story of the day. Merrifield’s objective is to become a valuable bench player for the Braves. He’ll probably be Nacho Alvarez Jr.’s backup after the latter made his Major League debut on Monday. Regretfully, Merrifield suffered a minor scare prior to Monday’s game after hurting his finger. He appeared to be in good health and had no fractures.
