This year, Kansas State is primed for success, and all fans are eager to see what Avery Johnson can accomplish in his first season as a full-time starter. With Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, and Colorado joining the Big 12, and Oklahoma, Texas, and Oklahoma leaving, the Wildcats have a legitimate shot at winning the conference.
The Wildcats will face five of the top seven teams predicted to finish in the league as well as three of the four newcomers during their difficult 2024–2025 campaign.
With so many new and young players around him, Johnson will have his work cut out for him as he steps into the starting role this season. But based on his performance in the Pop-Tarts Bowl at the end of the season, it appears that he will be able to pick it up quickly.
