WASHINGTON, D.C. (KALB) – Former LSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is off to a great start in his NFL career. Selected by the Washington Commanders with the second overall pick in 2024, Daniels appears to be picking up offensive strategy quickly.
Thanks to veteran teammate Marcus Mariota, Daniels is able to put all of his attention on learning how to be a pro and isn’t too concerned about the pressure of being selected in the first round. Instead, Daniels is able to concentrate on his work ethic, saying, “I’m just out here just doing my job.
How can I help the team get better each and every day? That’s what I focus on. Focus on learning. Focus on God,” Daniels said. “Keep competing every day and having fun, bringing that energy, that joy, and that competitiveness to the team, which DQ and them preach all the time. We want to compete in every game.”
